Giving through St. Alban’s – making charitable donations that the church passes through to another organization – is always a possibility. Make your check out to “Saint Alban’s Episcopal Church” and specify the name of the charity in the memo line on the check.
We recommend that you give to groups you are confident will use your donation wisely. We recommend that you research them before giving, through a “charity watchdog” like BBB Wise Giving Alliance, Charity Navigator, or Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
Among the groups that church members have supported in the past are:
- Annie’s Kitchen
- Boy Scouts Troop 300
- Bread for the World
- Chase Lake Community School
- ChildStrive
- Christian Renewal Association
- Cocoon House
- Compass Housing Alliance – Shoreline Veterans Center
- Earth Ministry
- Episcopal Relief and Development
- Everett Gospel Mission
- Food Banks
- Hand in Hand Kids/A Safe Place
- Korean Nest Mission
- Mission to Seafarers – Seattle
- Mustard Seed Associates
- Northwest Harvest
- Pathways for Women
- World Concern
