Korean Nest Mission

The Korean Nest Mission
For the past 6 years, Korean Nest Mission has worked to put into an action the compassion of Jesus Christ for the homeless and strive to end homelessness: not just feed and clothe but to help the homeless find permanent housing and start an independent life. Another goal is to motivate Korean-American immigrants in the State of Washington to share their blessings with the local poor; and guide the homeless to God that they may find hope, and motivate and strengthen them to live as responsible and productive citizens; that they may experience holistic salvation by meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Some of the programs currently in place are

  • EMERGENCY RESPITE BEDS (offering the sick a motel room for a limited time),
  • HEALING DINNERS (in partnership with Maplewood Presbyterian Church), and
  • OFFERING DAILY NECESSITIES after the dinner (bus tickets, toiletries, socks, etc –in winter, we add warm jackets, blankets, and hand warmers),
