Diocesan Convention 2012 will entertain several resolutions, including:
1. to set the diocesan assessment rate for 2014 at 17%
2. to set the cost-of-living-adjustment (COLA) for 2013 at 2.7%
3. to move toward equity in benefits between lay and ordained employees

Our 2012 convention is Friday-Saturday, November 9-10, at the Hilton Seattle Airport & Conference Center, SeaTac.

To simplify registration, congregation leadership has been asked to complete the registration form for their entire delegation – delegates, alternates, clergy, delegates-at-large, guests, etc. – and to submit it with a single payment ($25 per person registering) covering the total amount due. The registration form has been sent directly to each congregation. Please check with your church office to make sure that you are included when the registration process is completed.
If you are a delegate-at-large (lay members of the Diocesan Council, Standing Committee, Board of Directors, or Regional Ministry Leadership Team) and your congregation is not paying your registration, or if you are a clergy person not formally connected to a congregation use the Individual Registration form.
You have the opportunity for advance purchase of meals during the convention. All meals are optional; you may choose to eat in the hotel restaurant, at local restaurants, or, particularly on Saturday, bring a lunch from home.
Friday call to order is 4 p.m. with optional workshops 1-3:45 p.m. If you want to arrive early, a Friday lunch buffet will be available 11 am-Noon; $15 per person.
The Friday Autumn Dinner will include Bishop’s Cross awards and entertainment by the Total Experience Gospel Choir. Buffet; $32 per person.
Saturday box lunch. Four choices of sandwiches and salads; $20 per lunch.
You may order online for one or more individuals (payment by credit card) or using the Meal Reservation Form (payment by check or credit card). You may download and complete the Meal Reservation Form, collect information from multiple individuals and submit with one check; payment by credit card using this form is per individual.
The Hilton Seattle Airport is located at 17620 International Blvd. in Seattle (just across from SeaTac airport). The convention room rate is $133 single/double. Fall Version 2013 Budget Published
The fall version of the 2013 diocesan operating budget, is now available. Also available is the full detail line item version with revenue, expenses, summary, graphs and explanation of changes from the spring and winter drafts of this document.

These gatherings provide an opportunity for regional and cross-regional conversations on convention topics:
- The final version of the 2013 Budget to be ratified at the fall convention.
- Nominees for diocesan offices.
- Resolutions to be considered by the convention.
Mark your calendars with the date and location for the meeting in your area. If you are unable to attend the meeting in your region, your are welcome to attend any convenient meeting – the agenda will be the same.

2012 Alternate Certification
If you need to change an alternate to delegate status, please complete and submit one copy of the Alternate Certification Form. This form should NOT be used to notify the convention office of new delegates or alternates; or delegates/alternates not previously listed on the congregation election form. To add or delete names from your delegation list, contact Dede Moore at least one month prior to the annual convention.
